When to apply
Applications open about four months before each cohort. Recent windows: Fall 2026 non-VUMC opened May 11 with an initial deadline of June 7, Winter 2027 non-VUMC opened July 14 with an initial deadline of August 9. The Summer 2027 window opens in early 2027.
Cohort schedule
Twelve-month program with Fall, Winter and Summer cohorts (roughly late October, late February and mid to late July).
Requirements
ASN or ADN, BSN or higher from a state-approved program accredited by ACEN or CCNE. RN licensure before start, or NCLEX passed with a pending Tennessee license. Less than six months of RN experience at application. ANCC PTAP accredited with distinction.
